Call of Duty T-Rex Story Continues

Trex got a new neighbor.

The Big News!

So, as you may have heard...we're having a baby!!!  Now the debate begins...boy or girl.  So far, we have declarations, guesses, empirical evidence, and weiner dog votes.  I fired off a witty salvo when Lady made the comment that the baby looks like a spaceship in the ultrasound.  I replied, "Yeah, the USS It's A Boy!"

1st Ultrasound at 7 1/2 weeks.

The Eagle Has Landed

Dotz made us a quilt from the tablecloth fabric from our wedding.  She made it into the Eagle Nebula, and it is amazing!

Magnificent!

Very Cozy!

New Jewelry Displays

As it usually happens, Lady said, "I could use some jewelry display racks, you should build some for me!"  So...I did.  PVC wrapped in velveteen with pine frames.  I free-hand routered the grooves to hold the PVC such that they can be pulled out whenever necessary.  All good!

Other Kitchen Updates

Added wine racks and under-cabinet lighting so we can finally show our fancy glasses in style!  Also have the back-splash and front-splash ready.  Just need to recut some tile and grout.  Ta-da!

The nearly finished look.

Mondo's Birthday

My birthday fun pretty much took up most of the week.  Had a great week of building things, traveling, and hanging out with friends.  Helped my neighbor build the base for his deer blind, and then joined him and his son for a road trip to South of San Antonio to their deer lease.  I was able to sight in my new gun, and enjoy some desert fresh air.  Got back home and found that Lady had tried to become a unicorn after a stick breaking incident.  Later that night, we joined some friends for a movie & wings.

That weekend we had a bunch of humans & canines over for a shindig.  I grilled some shrimp, pork chop, chicken, and steak kebabs.  We packed the living room and finished the night with a movie.  All good stuff!

Daisy Having Fun

Daisy was back at her wacky adventures the other day.  She tried using the Gypsy and enjoyed a dill pickle pringle snack!

Mondo Gets Creative

I have started building, and designing, more woodworking items.  The start of it all came with my want for a more mobile laptop cart than the tray table that I had been using.  A quick, simple design later and I had a new rolling cart with extra cord storage via the pegboard.  It is easily adaptable to a nice end table as well.

After I finished this, I began designing other furniture as well.  I am working on those items, as well as working with Google SketchUp.  SketchUp is a free 3D modeling program which is pretty easy to use.  I am creating blueprints and directions for building all the items that I create so that others can build them as well.

Kitchen Update

Finished up the last 2 cabinet faces!  Also finished up the pieces for the bar footrail and some backsplash and frontsplash materials.

Let's Go Fly A Kite

Lady broke out the kites to share some high-flying excitement with the neighbors.

Valentine's Day

So, haven't posted in a while.  It has been quite crazy around here.  Back on Valentine's day Lady and I had a relaxing night in.  Had a photo shoot for her jewelry, watched a movie, and made ravioli.  Finally tried out our ravioli maker.  It was quite fun!
