We went and saw "The Losers" last night, and it was awesome! It was action packed with some great comedy. Had a lot of fun at it, and I spent the movie laughing. It wasn't as violent as I thought it would be, and was better than I had hoped.

Dead Tree-ing The Banana Groves
We decided it was time to pull out the dead banana trees from our groves in the back. Both Lady and I have thinned out a banana grove now. Only one remaining...
Got My Kitchen Mojo Back!
Yes, that's right, I had lost my kitchen mojo. The kitchen has been on hiatus because I didn't want to screw anything up while my mojo was gone. Doing delicate remodeling is not something to do when your mind isn't in it.
So, yesterday my mojo returned,, and our new range hood is installed and a couple new faces! Bringing a few new pictures to the Kitchen Remodel slideshow/album!

New Library Setup
After going through all the movies, we needed someplace to store them in an efficient manner for getting at them easily. What better place to store a bunch of boxes than on the ol' loft! The loft had been moved into the library a while ago during the great garage reorg, but had not been put together. In my point of view, you can't just put the loft up. There must be much fanfare, cleaning, and redecorating to accompany the loft.
So, it began with moving the yellow shelf out of the library and bringing that downstairs to become the new movie & video game shelf. With the lean movie collection now, there is also plenty of room for all the fun knick-knacks we found while cleaning out the library closet! Once that shelf was out, the loft could go up and the other shelves could come in. The media racks became bookshelves, and the shelves that I had made for the movies joined the book club. We got magazine holders so that it is easy to peruse our collections of Family Handyman, The Workbench, Popular Science, and Texas Wildlife. We even had one shelf left over to become an art showcase to keep the reader company in the new reading nook under the loft.
All that was left was to accessorize the room. What better way than with more of Lady's artwork! Ta-Da! A brand new library which is now inviting, and comfortable, to curl up in with a good book.

The Great Movie Culling
So I finally came to terms with the notion that it is time to downsize the movie collection. Especially after the addition of 3 large boxes of VHS that my Dad brought down. I got to work on them Sunday afternoon, and didn't wrap things up until Monday after work. When all was said and done, I have cut my collection down to 139 DVD and VHS! The to sell boxes of movies came out to be 604 movies!!! Go ahead, you do the math...yeah I had a ton of movies.
With the new downsizing, we have also begun a reorganization of the house as well. Shelves are moving around, and a new look & feel is present. Next up...the book collections.
