UPDATE: Found an old notebook this weekend while cleaning out a closet. Here is an example of my old doodles.

Funny How Doodles Change Over The Years...
As I came out of a meeting yesterday, I felt the need to share this with all of you. I pondered the evolution of my "doodles". Remembering that in K-12 my doodles were some amusing battle scenes, dragons, airplanes, Star Trek, and the shuttle. Then, in college they were mostly scribbles and random shapes. Now days my doodles look something along the lines of the one from yesterday! This particular one is in reference to ... well actually, can you tell me what I am designing here?

A Belated Welcome to the New Year
Well, well, well. Here we are at January 12th of the new year, and you haven't heard anything from us in almost a month now. Hopefully y'all had a fantastic holiday season, and rang in the new year properly!
Now let's see, what has happened in the last month?
Now let's see, what has happened in the last month?
- We were among the bajillions getting their last minute gifts put together...though in our case we really did make a few of our gifts. Oh come on, I know Lady made most of them, but I helped a little :-)
- Partook in the Verry Merry Webcam Christmas with Mondo's family on Christmas Eve.
- Took in Sherlock Holmes (good show), went to the dog park with friends, and finished the day with grilling and relaxing with said friends on Christmas Day.
- Went to the Houston Aeros game on the 26th...they got whooped, ouch.
- The 28th had the Prius flex her muscles as she shamed the trucks in the Home Depot parking lot by hauling all the lumber & supplies for finishing our kitchen remodel.
- New Year's Eve, we went and saw Avatar (excellent show). Then, followed that up with a Burn Notice marathon and just catching the ball drop.
- New Year's Day we had visitors (friends of Lady's from college) spend the night.
- New Year's Day also marked the beginning of the final phase of the kitchen remodel. Lady has a few pics up from the early test run of the remodel on her Facebook page. For those who haven't heard about it, I am building cabinet faces, doors, and drawers for our kitchen. We will also be making our own tiled countertops. As usual, we are having tons of fun while finding new mysteries, conundrums, and extra projects. When we have it all wrapped up, we will have a massive post here with the full story. As well as a planned picture book of sorts that will be available.
I had to head back to work on the 4th, and was welcomed back by our servers crashing and losing all my data since the end of August...yowza! Other news since then includes the weekend of frigid temps that we just endured (lows in the mid-twenties and highs in the mid-thirties). And yes, I just said frigid! My blood has happily thinned, and prefers the cool winters of mid-fifties.
So, there is the quick month's round-up for y'all. We also have our yearly letter that, as usual, is behind schedule. Alas, eventually you will have it, and hopefully you will be entertained. Because really, what's the point in life if you can't have some fun!!
Enjoy your 2010!
