Going Old School - Shop Class Style

It is always tough to figure out a gift for my dad. This year we went old school and made him a clock. I made this clock out of pine, and Lady added the wood burning flair.

We had a full house and full weekend of pet fun. Usually our friends manage to take trips on alternating weekends. This past weekend, 3 of them decided to head out of town at once. Game On! We took care of 6 dogs and 2 cats. 3 of the dogs joined Yahtzee at our house, and the other pets were taken care of in their respective houses. We all had a blast! We even loaded the 4 characters below into the car and headed to the dog park. That knocked them all out for the rest of the weekend. What a bunch of cuties!

New Rug

Yeehaw!! We finally got a new rug for the living room. This time we bumped up the size so that it actually covers all the space between the couches. Yahtzee is already a huge fan of having a rug back in the living room. We also had it christened during a doggy wrestling match when Lacey came over the evening we got it.

Let's Recap - End o' May into June

Alright, so it has been a while since we posted last. We have gotten a lot of work done on the kitchen. It is all coming together now!

We have added a pile of pictures to the gallery. We added pictures from way back in Phase 1 of the remodel. That includes pictures of how the kitchen looked after the previous owners "remodel" crap work. You can also check out how Phase 1 turned out, and see what gave us the confidence to continue on with the rest of the kitchen.

There are also new pictures from the updates that we have gotten done recently. Such as the new tile setup for the breakfast bar, which is shown below! That setup will only be on the breakfast bar to help it stand out and add some pizazz to the kitchen.
